Aetheris Intelligence, LLC provides aerial data collection and analytics services. The disclaimers below clarify the scope of those services and the limits of what our deliverables can be relied upon for. Read them in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Not a licensed surveying firm
Aetheris is not a licensed surveying firm and does not provide land or boundary surveys signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Land Surveyor. Our Survey Support tier provides aerial-data products — RTK-corrected orthomosaics, point clouds, digital surface models, contours, and accuracy reports — that are intended to be incorporated into the workflow of a licensed surveying firm. The licensed surveyor retains all responsibility for the legal interpretation and certification of survey results.
2. Not a structural engineer or licensed inspector
Aetheris is not a licensed structural engineer, professional roofing inspector, or building-code inspector. Our roof and facility condition reports describe visible defects and surface conditions observed in photographic and thermal imagery, with measurements derived from photogrammetric processing. They are visual observations, not structural analyses, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for an evaluation by a licensed engineer or qualified inspector where one is required by law, insurance policy, or local regulation.
3. Not an insurance adjuster
Aetheris is not a licensed insurance adjuster. Our reports are designed to support insurance claims by documenting visible damage with measurements and photographs, but they do not constitute an insurance determination, coverage analysis, or settlement recommendation. Coverage decisions remain solely with the insurance carrier and its authorised adjusters.
4. Weather, environmental, and operational limits
- Photogrammetric accuracy depends on lighting, cloud cover, wind, and surface conditions. Wet, snow-covered, or shadowed surfaces can degrade orthomosaic quality and feature recognition.
- Thermal imaging is sensitive to ambient temperature, solar loading, surface emissivity, and time of day. Reported anomalies are indicative, not diagnostic.
- Vegetation and tree canopy can occlude ground features in orthomosaics and DSMs; reported elevations under canopy may reflect the canopy rather than bare earth.
- Reflective surfaces (glass, water, polished metal) can produce processing artefacts that may resemble defects but are not real.
- Wind, precipitation, low visibility, and Temporary Flight Restrictions may delay or prevent flights; we will reschedule at no charge when this occurs.
5. Measurement accuracy
Where not constrained by Ground Control Points (GCPs) or RTK positioning, photogrammetric measurements derived from a standard inspection have typical relative accuracy of ±2–5 cm for horizontal distances and ±5–15 cm for vertical distances. RTK and GCP-corrected flights (Survey Support tier) target ±2 cm horizontal and ±3 cm vertical absolute accuracy when conditions permit. Accuracy is reported per-deliverable; for safety-critical or legal applications, consult our methodology before relying on a specific measurement.
6. A-PCI scoring methodology
The Aetheris Property Condition Index (A-PCI) is a proprietary scoring methodology aligned with ASTM E2018-24 principles. A-PCI scores reflect Aetheris’s opinion of property condition based on the data we collected at the date of inspection. They are not appraisals, valuations, or substitutes for a Property Condition Assessment by a qualified Property Condition Consultant. A-PCI scores may change with subsequent inspections as conditions change.
7. Risk Matrix
The Aetheris Risk Matrix is a structured 5×5 framework aligned with ANSI/ASSP Z590.3, ISO 31000, and OSHA guidance. It is a decision-support tool for triage and prioritisation. It is not a safety certification, an OSHA inspection, or a substitute for a Certified Safety Professional’s judgement when one is required.
8. Third-party software limitations
Photogrammetric processing is performed in Pix4D Mapper and Pix4D Cloud. Storage and delivery use Supabase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Aetheris does not control these third-party systems and is not responsible for outages, data loss, or changes in their features. Industry-standard processing tolerances apply.
9. Equipment specifications
Primary platform: DJI Matrice 4T multi-sensor sUAS (wide RGB, zoom RGB, thermal, laser rangefinder). RTK positioning via Emlid Reach RS2+ base station when contracted. Specifications and accuracy claims are stated by the manufacturer; actual performance varies with operating conditions. Equipment changes may be made at Aetheris’s discretion; the deliverable specification remains governing.
10. No warranty beyond explicit specifications
Except for the deliverable specifications stated in the applicable SOW or tier description, Aetheris provides the Services “as is” and disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The limitations in the Limitation of Liability section of our Terms of Service apply to any claim arising from reliance on a deliverable.
